Hours And Cost

Student therapist hours change often due to the number of students currently enrolled in the program and where they are in their education. Below are our current hours, but are subject to change.

Cost – $25 for a 50-minute massage

*Certificates can be used for a massage given by a student, or they can be applied towards a massage from a licensed massage therapist at $35 per 50-minute session.

Upcoming Event: The Polarity Connection

Oct. 14 at 8:30 a.m. to Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m.

This is an experiential introduction to the role of Polarity Therapy in clinical massage practice. Massage therapists will learn how to develop a more wholistic perspective, increase therapeutic effectiveness with less effort, and offer a uniquely powerful, hands-on session to clients. We will also discuss the history of energy medicine as it pertains to modern bodywork. Non-professionals can learn skills to keep themselves and their families healthy, and pain free.

For two days, you will stay present and work from the heart as you learn polarity techniques which blend easily into massage or physical therapy practice. The focus of this class is learning and practicing an integrative polarity bodywork session.

Upcoming Event: Warm Lava Shell Treatment

Friday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This Warm Lava Shell class will teach you how to use these hand crafted shells to help relieve your clients tension and knots, all without the hassle of electric and a lot to clean up. It will also increase the amount of contact time you will have with your client during a spa treatment that includes heat. This class will give you the benefits, contraindications, and techniques to safely use Warm Lava Shells on your clients. You will learn about the different types of shells that can be used and how to clean, sanitize and store your shell. This class will give you the chance to work with the Warm Lava Shells and to learn a protocol for a full body or spot Lava Shell Treatment. Warm Lava Shells are a wonderful treatment that not only benefits clients but is also a great tool to have as a therapist.

*For this class the student will need to bring a massage table, face cradle, a set of sheets, bolster, oil and two hand towels.

Upcoming Event: Kinesiology Taping – The Cardinal Rules

Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

​Kinesiology Taping: The Cardinal Rules will explain what Kinesiology taping is and who came up with it. You will also learn why you would tape your clients, the benefits and contraindication of K-Taping. Who should receive this treatment and when to apply the tape, also how to explain to your client why they cannot not receive this service. You will learn the basic and most important rules of taping, including different types of tape, how to cut the tape, how to apply the kinesiology tape to your clients and how to market this service to your current client and new clientele.

* For this class students will need a set of sheets. Please wear comfortable clothing. This is an interactive class and you will be using the kinesiology tape to work on each other. Tape will be provided for the students to use during class.
