Attention Medical Office Managers and Medical Assistants! Are you ready to share your experiences with the next generation of medical professionals? Great Lakes Institute of Technology is hiring a full time Program Director in the Medical Assistant department.

Duties

Responsible for all aspects of the academic program management

Hiring and training medical assistant faculty,

Ensuring curriculum is up to date and relevant, including choosing textbooks and classroom aids

Ensuring positive student outcomes

Participate in extracurricular activities related to the MA program.

Monitor student records of attendance and progress reports

Instruction in hands on and lecture courses, as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge of both clinical and clerical medical assistant procedures

Strong customer services skills with attention to detail

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical assistant

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Associate’s degree preferred

Great Lakes Institute of Technology, Erie PA, is seeking qualified instructors in our Practical Nursing program. This is a great opportunity to help train the next generation of nurses and to promote this great field.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a positive, professional, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Deliver curriculum following pre-approved curriculum and lesson plans
  • Monitor student progress and attendance
  • Supervise students during simulation and clinical rotations
  • Theory and clinical instruction in all aspects patient care as it relates to Licensed Practical Nurses in Pennsylvania

Job Requirements:

  • Must hold an active Pennsylvania RN license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an RN
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor’s degree is preferred (or working on BSN degree)
  • Knowledge of State Board of Nursing standards
  • Experience in nursing education and/or education administration helpful
