Leah Neff is a two-time graduate of Great Lakes Institute of Technology. She chose to come to Great Lakes after serving in the United States Army from 2001 – 2006 and receiving an honorable discharge. After graduating from the Pharmacy Technician program, she returned to earn certification as a Billing & Insurance Specialist and graduating from the Medical Office Assistant/Coder program. Her status as a US Veteran, along with her dedication to her education, has paved the way for Leah to start her career at the Erie Veteran\’s Affairs Medical Center as a Medical Support Assistant.
Leah gained a lot of self confidence as a result of her military experience and her education at Great Lakes. Leah says the greatest part about working at the VA Hospital is that \”I am in a position where I am able to serve fellow veterans. To assist them, in even a small way, doesn\’t compare to what they have given up for me to be here today.\”
Leah says, \”Great Lakes has a very friendly staff who will assist you with what you need to succeed. Their programs can be completed in a short time, which is exactly what I was looking for.\”
Leah often reaches out to Great Lakes Institute of Technology to notify us of opportunities that will be available at the VA Hospital and looks forward to helping future graduates receive the same chance and opportunity she has! Thank you, Leah, for your service to our country and your support of Great Lakes! You continue to make us proud!
