We recently caught up with a couple of graduates; one from the Pharmacy Technician program and one from the Veterinary Assistant program. Read below to see what they have been up to!

Pharmacy Technician Graduate
Employed: Westfield Memorial
I am currently working in the pharmacy department at Westfield Memorial Hospital. The thing I enjoyed most about Great Lakes Institute of Technology was learning from Denise Tousey. She\’s an amazing instructor. I enjoy the field of pharmacy mainly because it\’s like a second language to me. I especially enjoy being in a hospital environment. In my spare time, I am continuing my education, and I enjoy outdoor activities and sports of all kinds. I enjoy playing acoustic guitar and spending time with loved ones.
Emily Larsen
Veterinary Assistant Graduate
Employed: EARS
I\’m working at EARS (Erie Area Rabbit Society and Rescue). I\’m thankful to Great Lakes because they helped me with professionalism. They also taught me about animal behaviors and how to handle and approach aggressive animals. I love working with EARS because I get to do something I am passionate about, while giving back to the community. In my spare time, I like to play video games and spend time with my kids. While I do spend a lot of time working, it\’s important that I make time for my family.
